The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) (लोक सेवा आयोग, उत्तर प्रदेश) is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh. The agency's charter is granted by the Constitution of India.
The examination is conducted in two stages. It includes preliminary as well as main exam. The duration of the preliminary exam is one hour. There will be a total of 150 questions. Each question carries one mark. Of these, 50 questions will be asked from General Knowledge.
Candidates must have done Bachelor degree in Law or LLB. Other qualification for advocates is also required. There will be two steps in written exam which is 1) Preliminary Exam and 2) Mains exam. In the prelims exam candidates must secure 45% marks to appear in mains exam.

It aims to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. On behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) holds the test for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) (कर्मचारी चयन आयोग) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.
This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
